Meta will advertise anything--total scams. I don't understand how their practices don't drive users to distrust the ads.

I'm done with corporate-owned social media. No Threads, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.

No Ads, no Algorithms, No Musk, No Zuckerberg!

Sticking with Mastodon and loving it!

I can see Threads being the next Twitter. It’s good timing, and a pretty app.

I always blocked ads on Twitter.

and pay WP to keep them off my blog.

Such as it is.

Still stuck in Twitter speak.

Plus I have already said “ it”.

Leveraging Instagram's established network for a new platform certainly provides initial momentum…

However, the long-term implications and potential cannibalization of Instagram's revenue are important aspects to consider.

• Differentiation: Threads must differentiate itself from Instagram beyond just its layout and functionality. It needs to offer unique value propositions to both users and advertisers, ensuring that it's not just 'another Instagram.'

• User Base Expansion: For sustained growth and to attract advertiser interest, Threads must look beyond Instagram's existing community. Diversifying its user base can offer advertisers access to a broader demographic and potentially increase the return on their ad spend.

• Revenue Channels: Along with advertising, Threads could explore additional revenue streams to mitigate the risk of cannibalization. For instance, they could venture into e-commerce integration, subscription-based features, or partnership with content creators.

However, let's remember, this is technology we're talking about - an industry that thrives on innovation and disruption.

Sometimes, internal disruption can lead to better products, and in the long run, higher revenue. Remember how Apple was willing to cannibalize the iPod with the iPhone?

And look at the results.

At the end of the day, as investors or users, we need to keep our eyes peeled, adopt a learning mindset, and be ready to adapt quickly to the constant shifts and innovations in the tech world.
